WATERFIRE APPAREL

WaterFire Providence

While working at WaterFire, I have designed graphics for multiple t-shirts some that I conceptualized and others that were ideas my co-workers had me bring to life. The first one was designed as a part of my internship for WaterFire's Clear Currents event back in 2019. Some examples of other t-shirts I have designed or helped implement are WaterFire's 2019 Breast Cancer event tee, the Clear Currents tee for 2022, and the volunteer appreciation tees for 2019, 2020, and 2021.

CLEAR CURRENTS SHIRT

For this event, there are kayakers who paddle around on the river with glowing koi fish kites attached to their kayaks on poles. I used the image of the koi fish on poles as the inspiration behind my design, and picked colors from WaterFire's branding. In addition to the t-shirts a sticker was also printed and sold at the event that I designed with the same koi fish drawing.

Here are some photos of the Clear Currents event that inspired my design.

BREAST CANCER SHIRT

All of the WaterFire events are sponsored by different companies and organizations and so some of them are themed and have special sponsor additions. I designed this t-shirt for an event sponsored by the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Foundation. I came up with the "Light the Fight" slogan for it as well.

VOLUNTEER SHIRTS

Every year WaterFire would give t-shirts to their volunteers to show their appreciation. I worked with the volunteer department on creating three of the designs for 2019, 2020, and 2021. They would give me a concept or theme for the year and then I would work with them to bring their ideas together into a successful shirt design.

CLEAR CURRENTS SHIRT 2022

In 2022 they wanted to have a high school intern design the Clear Currents t-shirt, so I took his hand drawn sketch and made it into a screen-printable shirt design.
