For this project, I came up with an original product of a treadmill-like exercise toy for guinea pigs. I thought there was a need for this product, because there are currently no safe exercise toys for guinea pigs as hamster wheels or balls can damage their backs. I worked at a pet store and have owned guinea pigs for years, and there is nothing like it out there so I knew it could be a successful product. I then came up with the name Teeny Tread for the product and CavySafe for the company that would create it. The names were based off of the product being like a small treadmill and the company's goal being to create safe products for guinea pigs, which are also known as cavies. The logo for Teeny Tread was a minimalist spin on the way a treadmill looks. For CavySafe's logo, I used a heart to represent their love of guinea pigs and a lock to be a visual for the safety of their products. The guinea pig in the product photos was my personal pet named Pippin, and I took him into my college's professional photo studio to take the photos.
